Timing Time

Today I experimented with my time.  I wrote down my usual list of items that I needed to accomplish today; then I decided on a reasonable time to finish each task and set my telephone  alarms to notify me when it was time to start the next task.

I discovered a new depth to my dogged tendency to procrastinate.  Simply not being aware of time.  I completed my first task then sat down at my pc and worked on task # six.  10 - 15 minutes later, an alarm sounded.  I completed the second task and the third then sat down and thumbed through a magazine I purchased a while ago.  Another alarm sounded.  I ran the errand on my list.  Then I took a short nap, had an early dinner, completed task # four.  I'm working on task # 5 now - my blog entry for today.   I will work on task # six a bit more and my to do list for today will be complete.  And, it's been a lovely day.

Not being mindful of time, I've assessed, is akin to not being mindful of money.  Whey you don't know what you have it can easily slip through your fingers.  Hummm sounds true of people too.

In joy,

Andrea
