Meet Paper Crafter - - - Eileen Fields

She is the epitome of persistence. Eileen is not only one of my favorite crafters, she is my sister-in-law. I have every confidence that she will exceed each and every goal that she has established for herself because she is persistent and consistent. She is a true and living example of how you can change your love for a art or craft that you know little to nothing about into an expression joy - if you will simply stick with it.

One of the disciplines that I loved during my formative years was finding beautiful cards and stationary and writing letters or notes In fact, just like I did when I was a teenager, every time I get a letter with my name and address hand written on it I actually get excited. I know that the sender of that letter is someone who put forth deliberate effort to let me know that they were thinking about me and wanted me to know it.

I actually have a small collection of cards that I cherish and pull out several times a year to read over again and again when I’m feeling less that loved, appreciated, beautiful. . . . There is magic in sending cards to people you love that simply doesn’t exist to the same degree as sending and receiving e-messages.

I sent a condolence card to an elderly client of mine who lost her grand son. When I saw her again she grabbed my hand and with tears in her eyes, she told me how much she appreciated the beautiful card I sent her before she kissed me on my cheek. She said a lot of people had sent her flowers and dropped off money, and wished her well. But, she continued, less than a dozen people took the time to sit down and think of something nice or poetic to say to her at this time when she needed love most. Very few people made themselves use their best penmanship so that she could read the words and feel the love with which they were written. Very few people, out of the hundreds who expressed their condolences, actually purchased a stamp and put the card in the mail box so that it would especially be delivered to her with her bills and advertising literature and brighten her day. She said that that card ment a lot to her and that when she forgets who brought food, or gave her money or even came to the funeral, she has a memento to commemorate my sending her an expression of my sorrow and love.

Eileen is having an amazing sale on her hand crafted cards. She is selling six hand crafted cards of your choice for only $12.00.
