You're Emergency....

Have you ever been out in public and suddenly had to deal with someone whose determination to accomplish something un nerved you?  Even worse, have you been the one who needed the world to stop in order for you to accomplish your goals without interference or additional time delays of any sort?  That is the card I pulled today.

However, before I whizzed out of our home and speed-ed down the road, I remembered all of the times I rushed only to find that the person I was meeting was late or wasn't ready either.  Or the times I missed auto accidents by a few mere minutes.  Once I was running  late to a meeting and I ignored the call of one of the organizers (I didn't want to lie to her by saying that I had already left).  When I arrived ready to jump into my role I walked into an empty building - she was there waiting on the few people she couldn't contact by phone.  It turned out that a snow emergency and corresponding traffic advisories forced them to cancel the meeting.

The morale of this story is:  Slow down, your delay may actually be your blessing.
(Oh, please don't confuse divine delays with procrastination.)

In joy,

Andrea
