"If you close your eyes because the bad people are passing by, how
will you see the good ones?" - Yoruba saying
Dear Friends:
Every day, many of us miss out on good relationships because we
insist on 'protecting' ourselves from the 'bad' people. We put up
thick walls of suspicion and cynicism through which even real
friends cannot pass through unscathed.
Know this: Love, happiness and forgiveness come through continuous
practice, even when we don't feel like it. The more we practice, the
easier it becomes. This is a secret of those who are influential and
charismatic. because they accept themselves as they are, they can
afford to accept others - however they are.
This is the thought: The walls that protect also isolate you. Is the
cost worth it to you?
This is the intention: I accept myself, just as I am.

Very true. I think that it is worth putting myself out there and being who I am, whether others like it or not.
