I LOVE LIGHT

Every morning when I wake up, I stumble into our bathroom where a night light is always on - so I don't need to blind myself by turning on the overhead light..
Then, I like to open my blinds and let the light from outside shine in.
Most mornings it's still dark out and only the luminosity from street lights shine in; but never the less it's light  to me.
As I get on my knees and say a few heart felt prayers I usually find peace and my bearing for the new day.
Then I sit down on my sofa or a chair and begin to meditate.  Invariably during the course of my meditation I imagine myself enjoying the life of my dreams.
The window is open so I can hear the birds whirring and communicating with each other.  I must get new wind chimes to accompany this lovely sound.
The dawn is slowly creeping in.  I can feel the happiness she always brings with her.
My mind is awake, my spirit feels renewed and refreshed.  I am alert and ready to start my day.
Now it's time to read.  I turn on the dim light in our Dining room and sit down at the table.  It's bright enough to see, but not bright enough to startle my feeling of peace and serenity. I do some devotional reading.  Then I read a few chapters of whatever book I'm on now.  Then I write.
I write letters, sign cards, and prepare a to do list for the day.  I'm filling a little hungry so I'll put on some coffee and make some toast and sit back down to my correspondence.
WOW - The light of this day is fully underway.  It's a a little overcast day to me that means it will soon rain outside, but even the light of an overcast day is enough to chase away the darkness in each room.
The light that God gives us each day - even the dark winter lights seem to be exactly what I need to set my pace and determine my goals for each respective day.
When it's overcast, like today, I know I'll feel a bit lazy and move at a snails pace.
On blistery bright sunlit days I know I'll be full of energy and able to conquer any task that befalls me.
On cold dimly lit days, I know that I'll feel introspective and will most effectively be able to accomplishing task that require thought and planning.
I LOVE THE LIGHT.  The light guides me, the light inspires me, the light sets the tone for each of my days.
Thank you God for light.

In joy,

Andrea

It is a beautiful day here. I'm going to be the light that someone is looking for today.
